UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM of East Sumba Region Holds Toilet Manufacturing Training for the Communities of Tamburi Village and Bidipraing Village
As part of an effort to increase the role of civil society in achieving a quality health service system, UPKM/CD Bethesda held training on manufacturing toilets for the communities in Tamburi Village, Rindi District and Bidipraing Village, Lewa Tidahu District, which were carried out simultaneously.
In carrying out the activity, UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM collaborated with the Weyk Rangga Roko Pambarona group from Sumba Christian Church (GKS) Mata Weetebula, Southwest Sumba Regency, as a source person by providing business analysis material, business bookkeeping, and directly practicing in manufacturing toilets.
The hope is that in the implementation of this training, the community can add insight in technical terms of making toilets with quality that is no less than factory-made. Not only that, the community with the skills can develop a toilet business as a result of the training, so that it will have an impact on the household economy. It can even be managed by village-owned Enterprises so that it becomes an entrepreneurial asset from a promising village.
