UPKM/CD Bethesda YAKKUM Alor Region held a Mass Medicine Social Service activity in Fungafeng Village, on Sunday, 12 February 2023. To be exact, this activity was held at Ebenheizer Mabu Church with the target of all members of the church congregation and the community of Fungafeng Village. This social service is sought because health services by medical personnel in the village are needed by the community. On the other hand, it has been a year since Fungafeng Village has had no medical services due to the absence of placement of medical personnel at the Fungafeng Poskesdes.
This activity involved medical personnel from the Mebung Health Center, a total of 3 medical staff led by Mrs. Tirsa H. Botahala, A.Md.Keb (Head of the Mebung Health Center). Also, 10 medical personnel from the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI) of Alor Regency led by Mr. Randy Talilah, S.Kep., Ns (Secretary of DPD PPNI Alor Regency). The types of activities carried out in this Social Service are: socialization about CERDIK Behavior (regular health checks, get rid of cigarette smoke, diligent physical activity, healthy and balanced diet, adequate rest and manage stress), check Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, Acid Uricula and treatment for people who are diagnosed with illness.
The church and community members were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity. Evidenced by the presence of residents who reached 150 souls. At the end of the social service, all members of the community and medical staff drank the wedang secang served by the Health Cadres and the SALT Team.
