Basic Medical-Home Nursing Education

The basic medical sub-division, whose beginnings date back to 1976, was established to overcome unemployment problems for young generations, especially those from village areas. This sector has already used education to produce 835 skilled pramusiwi workers, (profession that nurses babies under 5 years old). These workers are: 4.3% (26 people) work with CD Bethesda services, 11.9% (100 people) work at the hospital, 35.8% (309 people) are in work transition, 47.9% (400 people) work independently as pramusiwi. Meanwhile, there are as many as 483 pramurukti (profession that nurses the elderly), encompasses of 12.8% (62 people) work with CD Bethesda services, 41.4% (200 people) work at the hospital, 25% (121 people) are in work transition, and 20.7% (100 people) work independently as pramurukti.

As of 2007, this sector has provided pramusiwi education for 55 graduating classes, each producing as many as 10 trained professional pramusiwi workers. They also supply services to communities that require approximately 36 skilled pramusiwi service people.
