Training and Education

The Supporting Primary Health Care (SPHC) Division is one division that employs various strategies in the hope to give a significant contribution towards creating needed services and an independent organization. In order to achieve this independence, the organization needs support from other aspects related to human resource, management, and infrastructure and, of course, financial assistance. Although the SPHC division has a social mission in management and development, the work sector has to be done in a professional manner so that members are able to pay themselves and hopefully produce a profit and significant contribution towards maintaining CD Bethesda’s project sustainability.

The Education and Training sub-division was established in 1991 to develop community’s abilities and skills in alternative medicine and the capacity for overcoming problems related to rural and urban poverty. This is achieved by providing acupuncture, acupressure, and traditional medicine trainings and other trainings related with community development (including PHC, CO, CD, CO-PRA, Management programs etc).
